A Beer with: Big B 1970

Weekly, we run exclusive interviews with some of the AG Members within the community, as part of a way to get to know the AG community better.

Today, we will be getting to know another one of the veterans of the Fantasy League and AG, Big B 1970 . We sat down with a beer as we discussed what he did for a day job, what his favourite and worse games are of all time, and Eurogamer. Let`s get down on it.

What is your full name?

Brian George

Where are you from?

born and bred in Portsmouth, but moved to Sheffield in 2001

What do you do for a living?

I was a Print Bindery worker for the past 11 years, but the company went under a couple of weeks ago so I got made redundant along with 600 odd of my workmates. I’m enjoying a bit more time on the xbox at the mo while looking for a new job.

What is your favourite Game, Film and TV franchise?

FIFA probably just edging out Forza and Elder Scrolls for game franchise, Star Wars for film and on TV its gotta be Battlestar Galactica (the re-imagined version not the dodgy 1980’s one)

What is your favourite game of all time?

Frontier: Elite II on the Amiga, a game light years ahead of its time. More recently, like this century, I’d also go for Skyrim and GTA.

Likewise, what is your worst game of all time?

Portsmouth 1 Leyton Orient 4, FA Cup 3rd round, 2002. Shocking game.
As for Xbox One games, Project Cars was the worst Ive paid money for, virtually unplayable in the main part for me.

You`ve been on AG a while, Compared to the site when it first started, Can you think of 3 features that have improved AG?

The Fantasy League, the Auctions, and Goal of the Month. Those are just 3 improvements off the top of my head, but there’s many more as Marcus and the Admin team are always looking for ways to improve the site.

You`re going to Eurogamer this year where there`s going to be a big AG meet-up, Ive heardMarcusJonesy is bringing his “toys”, so be afraid, Are you looking forward to that? Have you ever been to something similar before?

Something similar to being held captive in a hotel with Marcus and his toys? I really dont want to talk about that. Oh Eurogamer? No, not been to anything like that before so really looking forward to it. It’ll be great to meet up with some of the reprobates from AG and have a laugh. I’m also glad that I can escape to a hotel down the street from most of the others at the end of the night and not have to risk any of them knocking on my door drunk at 3 in the morning asking for a special cuddle.

You`re in the Fantasy League and a veteran of it, we`ve seen all the bitching the last few days over certain transfers and fines, and as we know, the Banker holds no grudges against people. What do you say to those in the Fantasy?

Man up bitches, have a word with yourselves, give your head a shake and get on with it.

on AG, with no financial restriction, what would you like to see added?

Its fine as it is to be honest, although I am a sucker for nice graphics and good video clips on a site.
