E3 2019: What can we expect?

Some brief ideas on what we can expect from E3 this year

Xbox have their briefing on Sunday 9th June at 9pm UK time, and it is expected that we`ll get some more information on already announced titles such as Gears of War 5 and Halo: Infinite. There will be no doubt we`ll also see perhaps some reveals of new IP titles, with the reveal of 5 studio additions last year at E3, it is thought that perhaps we may get something in the form of un-announced first party IPs. I imagine that XCloud will also get some sort of official reveal, having being showed off in snippets so far – we may get a good indication in terms of a release date at E3. There is also strong rumors that Xbox will tease in some aspect their next-gen console, which I`d expect to launch late 2020 , at around a similar release to the PS5.

Bethesda and Ubisoft also have briefings, with Bethesda`s being at 1.30am UK time Monday 10th June, and Ubisoft`s being 9pm UK time Monday 10th June. I imagine we`ll see more Ghost Recon revealment from Ubisoft, in addition to the usual Just Dance and yearly titles Ubisoft bring, and from Bethesda, Elder Scrolls VI could get some more details and revealment. I would expect Elder Scrolls to probably be a next-gen launch title.

EA Play are not offering a briefing as such this year, but you can expect lots of announcements and reveals, including FIFA 20 (Which has not yet had any form of reveal or details), and a ton of information on their Star Wars Jedi title. I imagine they will be the two big games from EA in terms of announcements and details – not sure if we`ll get anything Battlefield related.

On the other side of the river, PlayStation have confirmed that they will not be having any presence at E3 at all, and that`s a move that`ll probably result in them having a big emphasis later in the year either at PSX or when they formally reveal the PS5.

There`s a few games I`m looking forward to seeing more of. Halo Infinite, Gears 5, and hopefully, we`ll get some more Cyberpunk 2077 info, and of course, seeing if there is any tease of a new console.
