New Games Added To Backwards Compatibility

I’m not a massive fan of the backwards compatible games, but every now and then a game comes along and makes you pay attention. A couple of weeks ago it was Modern Warfare, last week was Splinter Cell, and this week they have added 3 more, Earth Defence Force 2025, Sine Mora and my personal pick of the lot Prince Of Persia (what af game that was). Here’s the full list courtesy of Major Nelson

Those of you who never played Prince Of Persia are really missing out, being released by long after Assassin’s Creed the game took up most of their dynamics and gameplay with a free roam approach, and the ability to run across the city upon the rooftops, as well as an epic storyline. At the time it was more then a match for the original AC and sold over 2 million copies. My personal favourite was the sands of time, based pretty much around the film. It’s a real shame that the last game was developed about 5 years ago as a remake and would really love to see another, but there wasn’t that many novels of the franchise made and the film has run it’s course so I would find it very unlikely to happen.
