Overwatch to get 4K update

Overwatch getting Xbox One X support

It was exactly a week ago today that we saw the launch of the Xbox One X, the world`s most powerful console released, and many games that were enhanced for the X. Over 70 games have had their patches released to look either more stunning or run better overall in terms of the performance. And some exciting news was revealed yesterday, as it has been announced in an interview with Windows Central, that Overwatch, the massive game and huge e-sports hitter by Blizzard, was going to be getting a 4K update.

“Overwatch team is excited with great possibilities Xbox One X opens. The team is currently exploring how the game experience can be enhanced on this platform to leverage the console’s incredible hardware, and is working on implementing 4K resolution in the game on Xbox One X. It is very important for the team to make sure the user interface looks natural on a truly big screen. We will share more details about our plans for 4K support on Xbox One X later.”

Wow. Blizzard have confirmed that we will be getting support on the Xbox One X for 4K support and more information will be coming our way very shortly. It`s really good to see developers jump on board with the Xbox One X and enhance the game, and although I`ve never really gotten into Overwatch, I do have it and I`m looking forward to seeing how it performs on my Xbox One X.
