Project xCloud starts sending invites to gamers
First wave of Project xCloud testing has gone live
Yesterday saw quite an exciting day for Xbox gamers, because we saw the first wave of public invites go out inviting gamers to join the testing for Xbox`s streaming feature, Project xCloud. Having being shown off earlier in the year, it had been revealed a month ago that gamers could register their interest in being part of the testing Project xCloud before it released fully to everyone.
You can register your interest HERE and clicking the register now option. It`ll ask you for some details including email address tied to your Microsoft Account and your mobile details. Please note that now the service is only available on Android devices so if you`re on I0S then you`re going to be in for a bit of a wait, as no official support date has been confirmed for Apple owners.
Project xCloud is the streaming option offering by Xbox, offering players to play games on their mobile devices that stream from the Cloud, or another feature being offered at a later date, Console Streaming, which will enable them to play a game that is installed on their console. At the moment there are a few select titles being offered to gamers on xCloud, including Gears of War 5 and Sea Of Thieves, but more will be coming in the future.
It`s going to be really interesting to see how this fares in the next few weeks as the concept of Project xCloud is fantastic – We`re really looking forward to seeing where Xbox go with it in the coming weeks.
